The Emir of Bade.has called on Yobe State government to consider the reintroduction and employment of environmental health inspectors and law to prosecute offences of environmental sanitation.
He made the call yesterday when the state commissioner of home affairs, information and culture, Albania Abdullahi Bego led a team set up by the state Governor, Hon. Mai Mala Buni visited him in his palace in Gashua town,headquarters of Bade local government.
He said the use of environmental inspectors would ensure that people are made to stick to hygienic practices both inside and outside which is one of the best way to prevent the spread of Lassa fever in the community.
Speaking earlier, the state commissioner stated that the visit to the royal father at the directive of governor Buni to seek the support the support of the emirate in an effort to sensitize people in the community on how lassa spreads and how to avoid being infected.
