Lassa fever: Marketers vow to embark on monthly sanitation

The Secretary-General of Gwagwalada Area Council Main Market in the Federal Capital (FCT), Mr Ikechukwu Nwaobilo, has vowed that the leadership of the market will embark on the monthly sanitation in order to keep the environment clean within the market areas.
He also said that the leadership of the market would deem it necessary to sensitize the traders on the need to clean their environment on daily basis.
n interview with newsmen on behalf of the chairman of the market, Alhaji Muhammadu Nura Rimi after the flag-of Lassa Fever and Corona Virus by the FCT minister of state, Dr Ramatu Tijjani Aliyu at Gwagwalada main market on Tuesday.
He said the authority of the market would complement the effort of the minister by using the traders to disseminate the information about the Lassa Fever to the people at the market place and Gwagwalada at large.
Rimi, however, used the interview as a forum to appeal to the management of Gwagwalada Area Council to provide the needed infrastructural facilities in the market for the sake of the traders.
