Late Emir of Ngazargamu For Burial Tomorrow
The remains of the late Mai Ngazargamu, Alhaji Tijjani Ibn Saleh Geidam, who died in Egypt on Monday, has arrived Damaturu, Yobe state capital, for burial tomorrow after Jummuah prayer.
The Emir, who has been on the throne for 26 years, died at the age of 80.
The body of the late monarch was received at the Muhammadu Buhari International Cargo Airport ahead of tomorrow’s funeral service.
Meanwhile, Gov. Mai Mala Buni, alongside the Minister of Police Affairs, Sen. Ibrahim Giedam, and traditional rulers were at the Government House Mosque, receiving condolences from distinguished sons and friends of the state.
Prayers were offered for the repose of the soul of the late emir.
A statement from Ngazargamu emirate council said funeral prayers for the late monarch will be offered at the Yobe Mosque and Islamic center, Damaturu, immediately after the Jummuah prayer.
