Late President Yar’adua’s disciples regrouping for 2019 – Katsina Reps member

A former House of Representatives member from Katsina State, Alhaji Shehu Inuwa Imam, has disclosed that the disciples of late President Umaru Musa Yar’adua a regrouping to take a stand on the 2019 general elections.
Imam made the disclosure at the weekend while speaking at a rally in Funtua, Katsina state, where he announced his defection from the All Progressives Congress (APC) to the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP).
He noted that they would soon call a national meeting of the late President’s disciples, where according to him, they would discuss on “how we can keep the spirit and philosophy of the ex-President alive”.
On his defection, Imam noted that he left the APC for PDP due to the injustice meted out on him and his supporters by the leadership of the APC in the state.
He alleged that he has contributed a lot to the APC, especially in ensuring its success in the 2019 elections, alleging that his contributions were never appreciated by the party in the state.
The former Rep member pledged to work hard for the success of PDP in the state and at the national level in the forthcoming 2019 elections.
In his remark, the PDP chairman in Katsina state, Alhaji Salish Yusuf Majigiri, urged all those who left the party to return to their legitimate and rightful home.
He noted that PDP is now a new platform where all members would be given equal opportunities to realize their aspiration, calling on members to continue to work for the success of the party in the 2019 elections.
