LG Electronics Nigeria has reaffirmed its position as a leading household electronics brand through a string of accolades and recognitions for its innovative and customer-focused products.
Speaking at a recent event, Yinka Adebayo, Group Executive Director at Omnicom Media Group- WeCA, praised LG’s ability to align with consumer expectations, describing it as a cornerstone of the brand’s enduring appeal in Nigeria.
“LG Electronics has consistently been at the forefront of innovation and customer-centricity, making it the preferred choice for many Nigerians,” he said.
This year, LG Electronics Nigeria achieved notable milestones across various platforms. On September 26, the brand received honors at the Media Consortium Conference and Awards, held at the Lagos Chamber of Commerce and Industry (LCCI).
LG was recognized for groundbreaking innovations and its unwavering commitment to customer satisfaction.
In October, LG cemented its leadership with the Smart Tech & Innovation Leadership Award at the EMTA Conference and Awards, and on October 31, it was named Nigeria’s Leading Global Electronics and Home Appliance Brand of the Year at the National Quality Conference (NQC).
The NQC-CQA Super Seal Gold Certificate and a gold-plated plaque were presented to LG in recognition of its contributions to quality and innovation.
The accolades continued with LG’s recognition as the Outstanding Refrigeration Brand of the Decade at the 2024 EDGE Awards, hosted by Marketing Edge Magazine.
Commenting on these achievements, Hari Elluru, Head of Corporate Marketing at LG Electronics, noted the brand’s dedication to exceeding consumer expectations.
“These awards validate the positive impact of our energy-efficient and sustainable products on millions of Nigerians.
They reaffirm our commitment to delivering high-quality, reliable solutions,” Elluru said.
Elluru also emphasized LG’s focus on sustainability, highlighting the company’s efforts to reduce carbon footprints and adopt eco-friendly practices.
“Innovation and sustainability are central to our mission, and we are proud to set new standards for environmentally friendly solutions,” he added.
Globally, LG Electronics has continued to shine. At the 2024 CES Innovation Awards, the brand received 33 accolades, including 11 for its OLED TVs, marking 12 consecutive years of recognition in this category.
LG also excelled at the 2024 Red Dot Awards with 28 honors, the iF Design Awards with 29 accolades, and the International Design Excellence Awards (IDEA) with 23 design wins.
The company’s focus on energy efficiency earned it the 2024 ENERGY STAR Partner of the Year Award, and it was ranked 97th in the Best Global Brands report with a brand value of $6.5 billion.
From its Nigerian operations to the global stage, LG Electronics continues to set benchmarks in innovation, sustainability, and customer satisfaction, demonstrating that adaptability and excellence are key to long-term success.
