LG Electronics, a global leader in household and commercial electronics, showcased its latest innovations in heating, ventilation, and air conditioning (HVAC) technology at the Annual LG HVAC Consultant Leaders’ Summit held in Lagos.

The event featured the launch of the Variable Refrigerant Flow (VRF) System and the Multi V 5 air quality solution, tailored to enhance energy efficiency and optimize heating and cooling in high-rise buildings, hospitals, and airports.

In his keynote address, Mr. Joonkyu Song, General Manager of Air Solutions at LG Electronics, underscored the growing demand for advanced HVAC systems across Africa.

“Urbanization and commercial construction projects are accelerating, making smart, energy-efficient HVAC solutions more crucial than ever,” he said.

The Multi V 5 air quality solution, described by Mr. Song as a “game-changer,” combines energy efficiency with improved indoor air quality.

He emphasized its significance in promoting wellness and productivity, particularly in hospitals and schools.

Highlighting LG’s strategic focus on education, Mr. Song pointed to the establishment of the company’s B2B Academy in Lagos, which aims to equip professionals with the skills needed to implement innovative HVAC solutions.

“Innovation goes beyond technology; it’s about empowering people to drive change effectively,” he said.

Africa’s growing HVAC market, driven by the surge in commercial construction. With integrated IoT control, building automation, and real-time performance monitoring, LG’s solutions cater to the region’s increasing demand for smart and sustainable systems.
