A new entrant to Africa’s growing tech ecosystem, Liners Africa, has officially launched, focusing on simplifying how businesses and individuals discover, compare, and evaluate software solutions.
Founded in early 2026 by technology entrepreneur Kayode Faturoti, the platform is designed as a centralized hub for software discovery, addressing a long-standing market gap: the lack of reliable, structured, and locally relevant data for digital tools.
At its core, Liners Africa introduces a product built around transparency and usability. The platform aggregates software listings into a single, easy-to-navigate directory, enabling users to explore tools tailored specifically to African markets—something global platforms often overlook.
Speaking on the product’s foundation, Kayode Faturoti said the idea was born out of personal experience. “Many of the tools being used across African markets were difficult to evaluate because there was no central place to verify information or compare available options,” he explained.
The platform’s key features are designed to enhance trust and decision-making. These include verified software listings to ensure credibility, detailed company profiles offering insights into founders and operations, and comparison tools that allow users to assess multiple products side by side. It also incorporates user feedback systems and automated quality control mechanisms to maintain the accuracy and authenticity of data.
With digital adoption accelerating across major African cities, demand for sector-specific tools, particularly in fintech, logistics, agritech, and climate innovation, continues to rise. Liners Africa positions itself as a response to this demand, offering a structured way for users to identify solutions that align with local business realities.
Kayode Faturoti further noted that the broader goal is to shift software selection in Africa from informal recommendations to data-driven decisions. “We want software decisions to be based on information that is clear and verifiable,” he said.
Looking ahead, the platform aims to expand its database in tandem with the rapid growth of African startups, while encouraging verified user participation to strengthen its review ecosystem.
By focusing on structured discovery and credible insights, Liners Africa is positioning its product as a key tool in supporting a more transparent and efficient digital economy across the continent.
