Lobi Stars on Sunday at the Aper Aku Stadium managaed a 1 goal victory against already relegated Adamawa United.
Nnamdi Mejuobi goal in the 30th minute from a goal mouth scramble was all the Stars needed to secure a home victory after their 3-0 bashing in the hands of Kano Pillars in week 31.
The visitors almost pulled the trigger on the 3rd minute but John Lazarus put his body on the line to block a goal bound shot.
In the 7th Minutes Lobi top scorer Ossy Martin left footed shot went across the goal line. Just as another chance came the way of the Stars but Carlos miss the target from a close range.
Martin’s again shot wide in front of goal for his second miss of the first half.
Adamawa displayed tactical football with deft touches to the admiration of the fans but lacked the finisher as they bundled some good chances.
Technical Adviser of Adamawa United Coach Justin Madugu expressed satisfaction with his team’s performance despite the loss, noting they got punished for their inexperience.
While Lobi Stars coach Kabiru Dogo lamented over the poor scoring ability of his lads, promising that the team will improve.
