A luxurious Marc Polo bus yesterday crushed to death a 55 year-old man in Sade village, in Darazo local government area of Bauchi state The Bauchi state Police command Public Relation Officer (PPRO), DSP Mohammed Haruna confirmed the incident to newsmen in Bauchi Thursday.
According to him, the luxurious bus, with registration no. XD 817 NEN, driven by one Ebele Anuebunwa, male, aged 53 yrs, of G.U.O Group, knocked down one Isah Garbage Sado 55yrs male, of Sade village, Darazo LGA. Police traffic personnel attached to Darazo Police Division visited the scene of the incident and the victim was rushed to General Hospital, Darazo where he was confirmed dead. DSP Haruna said the driver tried to escape but was pursued and arrested.
“The vehicle is secured and investigation is in progress”, he stated.
