The Federal Capital Territory (FCT) Minister of State, Dr. Mariya Mahmoud, has expressed her heartfelt condolences to the Gomo of Kuje, HRH. Alhaji Haruna Tanko Jibrin, over the death of his wife, Hajiya Asmau Haruna Tanko Jibrin.
Mahmoud described the death of Hajiya Asmau Jibrin, as shocking and a huge loss to the traditional institution and women folks in particular.
She noted that the late Hajiya Asmau Jibrin was committed to the promotion of peace, and unity in Kuje and beyond, adding that her legacies would be greatly missed.
According to her SA Media, Austine Elemue, the minister made her feelings known in a condolence letter she personally signed.
It reads in part: “I was deeply saddened to hear of the passing of Hajiya Asmau Haruna Tanko Jibrin, wife of HRH. Alhaji Haruna Tanko Jibrin.
“Her loss is a great sorrow to the entire Kuje community and too deep to His Royal Highness as she was beloved wife, devoted mother, and a pillar of strength to her husband.
Her contributions to promoting traditional customs and supporting local initiatives will be greatly missed.
“Please accept my heartfelt condolences during this difficult time. Inna lillahi wa inna ilayhi raji’un. Aljannahtul Firdaus be her final abode”.
The minister also commiserated with members of Gomo’s family and Kuje Chiefdom on this great loss.
She further enjoins all to put the family in prayers at these critical times while praying Allah to grant her Aljannah.
