Oyo State Governor and presidential candidate of the Allied People’s Movement (APM), Seyi Makinde, has appointed the Chairman of the State Universal Basic Education Board (SUBEB), Nureni Adeniran, as the coordinator of his presidential campaign in Oyo State.
According to a statement issued on Wednesday by the governor’s Special Adviser on Media, Suleimon Olanrewaju, Adeniran will also serve as the Director-General of the APM Governorship Campaign Council in the state ahead of the 2027 general elections.
The statement noted that Saheed Arowosaye, a former Chairman of Oyo East Local Government, has been named Deputy Coordinator of the presidential campaign, while the Commissioner for Local Government and Chieftaincy Matters, Demola Ojo, will serve as Deputy Director-General (South) of the governorship campaign council.
The campaign structure is expected to drive the electoral bid of the APM’s governorship candidate, Bimbo Adekanmbi, a former Commissioner for Finance during the administration of late Governor Abiola Ajimobi.
Olanrewaju added that Governor Makinde will officially inaugurate the campaign council on Friday at the conference room of the Governor’s Office in Ibadan.
