Man, 52, rapes 3 year old girl in Zamfara

The Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC) Zamfara state Command has arrested a 52 year old man identified as Aliyu Adamu of Gadar Baga area in Gusau the state capital, who allegedly raped and injured a 3 year old girl (Name withheld).
Parading the suspect at the state Command yesterday, the NSCDC Commandant, Mr. David Abi said, the arrest was successful by men of the Command following complaint laid by the father of the victim.
The Commandant further informed that, the suspect is accused of rape and defiling the private part of the innocent child causing her a threatening bleeding which was later stopped by medical experts at the Federal Medical Centre (FMC) Gusau.
“The Command has taken the victim to the FMC Gusau and stopped the bleeding from her private part and other pains in her bady by medical experts, the suspect would be charged to court as soon as the ongoing investigation is completed”, Mr Abi has said.
He said the Command has recovered two pants which were washed with blood belonging to the victim, warning parents to become very vigilante on their children, adding that, “There is need for parents or guardians to ensure total control of the children’s movements”.
Narrating the incident, father of the victim who simply identified himself as Tukur Anas said, his daughter had toiled to return home with difficulty as she could not walk properly, and blood was dripping nonstop from her private part.
“Her mother and I asked where she came from and who did that to her, she heavily mentioned the name of the suspect who we knew is always carrying the child with him believing that, the love he shown on her was normal as traditionally known between old age people and children”, Anas stated.
