Mesut Ozil’s took huge pay cut to join Fenerbahce

Date:

Mesut Ozil has taken a pay cut of more than £300,000-a-week to join Fenerbahce, it has been revealed.
Ozil reached an agreement with Arsenal to end his contract six months early and joined the Turkish side earlier this month.
It has been revealed that a seven-figure pay-out was reached between the two parties so he could leave in January.
The 32-year-old had been frozen out by Mikel Arteta as he was left out of both Arsenal’s Premier League and Europa League squads for this season.
Ozil has joined Fenerbahce, a club he’s supported since he was young, and his wages have taken somewhat of a hit.
