The Middle Belt Christians for Renewed Hope have expressed strong support for President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, describing his leadership as a unifying force rekindling the spirit of fairness, faith, and national cohesion.
In a communique jointly signed by its National Chairman, Rev. Joshua Dogo, and Secretary, Elder Sam Auta, after a national executive meeting in Jos, Plateau State, the group commended President Tinubu for his consistent outreach to Christian leaders and for promoting inclusive governance.
The forum hailed the President’s recent visit to the headquarters of the Church of Christ in Nations (COCIN), describing his message of unity as a sincere effort to bridge Nigeria’s religious and ethnic divides.
They also praised his balanced leadership reflected in the appointment of prominent Middle Belt sons such as the Secretary to the Government of the Federation, Senator George Akume, and APC National Chairman, Professor Nentawe Yilwatda, saying such gestures have restored confidence among Christians in the North.
The group further lauded the President’s security and economic reforms, noting that stability was gradually returning to parts of Plateau, Benue, and Southern Kaduna, while farmers and artisans were beginning to feel the impact of his economic recovery drive.
They also applauded the synergy between the National Security Adviser, Mallam Nuhu Ribadu, and the Chief of Defence Staff, General Christopher Musa, describing it as critical to the ongoing peace efforts in the Middle Belt.
The Middle Belt leaders acknowledged the briefing delivered by Hon. Victor Mathew Bobai, Senior Special Assistant to the Kaduna State Governor on Public Affairs, who highlighted Governor Uba Sani’s strides in promoting inclusive governance and dismantling divisive policies inherited from past administrations.
