The new Commander of Operations Safe Haven, a multi security task force Providing safety in Plateau, some part of Bauchi and Kaduna States Major General Chukwu Emeka Okonkwo has asked journalists to embrace objectivity and desist from sensationalism in their coverage.
The Commander also applauded the support given to his predecessor, Major General Agustin Agundu by the various media outlets.
General Okonkwo who was talking on the event of familiarization tour with representatives and heads of various media outlets held Thursday, at the OPSH headquarters in Jos equally reiterates that the OPSH will continue to be media friendly and more determine to strengthening civil-military relations.
He said “OPSH will onward be more creative and dynamic working alongside sister security agencies. I can assure you that we’ll try our best and in few moments, shall record a lot of improvements on security situations”.
Until his appointment as OPSH Commander, general Okonkwo was the senior adviser to the Chief of Army Staff on Nigerian Army University Biu (NAUB).
