Mining Entrepreneurship Stakeholders (MES) has appealed to the Federal Government, through the Ministry of Interior and Nigeria Correctional Service to expedite action on the request for payment of compensations to mining operators for taking over their land and business premises at Karshi, Nasarawa state.
The chairman of the group, Alhaji Aminu Sani Inuwa, made the call yesterday at a press conference in Abuja while briefing journalists on the suffering their members have been passing through since the invasion of the site in 2018 by the Federal Government.
Inuwa stated that the invasion of the premises has really disrupted production and crippled the business activities on the site thereby putting all the investments, including bank loans whose interest have continued to grow by the day, at the highest risk.
