The Minister of Communications and Digital Economy, Dr. Isa Ali Pantami has commissioned Nigeria Communication Satellite (NIGCOMSAT) in Gombe with a view to enhance businesses that will benefit the people within the north eastern zone.
He assured that the commissioning of NIGCOMSAT within the region will help in supporting youths to be entrepreneur.
The minister while emphasizing the importance of Nigeria communication satellite said there is no doubt the government will always ensure that youths benefit from its programmes.
He called on government and private sectors to always focus on youths that have potential skills than focusing on youths with paper qualifications while engaging them.
The Director General National Information Technology (NITDA) Dr. Kashifu Inuwa Abdullahi said having a befitting NIGCOMSAT office in Gombe will encourage citizens to key into skill acquisition programmes.
He appreciated the federal government for taking wise decision to build the edifice.
