The minister of Transport, Sen. Saidu Ahmed Alkali has commended Gombe state government for providing a ultra-modern mega motor park, with a view of advancing the transport sector.
Sen. Alkali, who made the assertion on in Gombe while commissioning the park, said the commissioning of the ultra-modern mega motor park in Gombe will not only benefit the state but will equally serve for the interest of the north east as well as the country at large.
The minister also assured that with the motor park, the transport sector will go along way in harnessing the people, and urged other states to emulate the gesture.
According to him, the infrastructure development in the transport sector will not only enhance the state but will serve to promote national unity through traveling from one place to another.
He reiterated federal government’s commitment to sustain transportation network priority with the administration of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu projects, and programmes in the rail and roads sectors.
According to him, “with the initiative the federal ministry of Transport under my watch has directed the Director-General of Nigeria Institute of Transport Technology (NITT) to liaise with The Gombe state government to establish CNG conversion centre with immediate effect.”
He added that the directive was given to the DG to put Gombe NITT outreach center into use.
He applauded governor Muhammadu Inuwa Yahaya administration as timely, which according to him, the state’s infrastructural master plan has demonstrated significant impact since he assumed in office in 2019.
