The Minister of Information and National Orientation, Mohammed Idris, has expressed confidence that the All Progressives Congress, (APC), will win the upcoming Local Government Councils Election in Niger State, scheduled for November 1, 2025.
He urged political parties and their contestants to conduct their campaigns in a peacefully manner devoid of violence, while citing President Tinubu’s teachings that no political position is worth more than any one’s life.
Idris stated this at the APC Niger South Senatorial District Zone A interactive session on the forthcoming November first Local Government Councils election in Niger State and the inauguration of members of the Campaign Council held in Bida.
The minister emphasized the importance of brotherhood and democracy, advising citizens to see themselves as their brothers’ keepers by eschewing acts capable of leading to crisis during the election.
He assured Nigerians that President Tinubu is committed to ensuring their safety and property, and that security agencies will work to restore peace in Niger State and across the country.
” I want to assure you that security agencies are working to ensure that security returns to the people of Niger state and all over the country, ” he stated.
The Minister also expressed faith in President Tinubu’s reforms, stating that they are working and the economy is improving while urging Nigerians to have faith and believe in his vision.
