The Permanent Secretary Federal Ministry of Youth and Sports Development (MYSD), Alhaji Ismaila Abubakar, has reiterated the readiness of the Ministry to work with well-meaning organisations & individuals to fulfil its mandate of improving the lives of Nigerian youths.
He stated this after welcoming the #BeingYounginNaija campaign team, an initiative of Oxford Committee for Famine Relief’s (Oxfam) Work in Progress (WiP!) alliance, on a familiarisation visit recently in Abuja.
The #BeingYounginNaija campaign, which started in 2020 with Chioma Chuka Consulting Services Ltd (CCCSL) as the campaign partner, is calling for the full implementation of the 2019 – 2023 Nigerian National Youth Policy.
Represented by the Assistant Director of Networking & Social Mobilisation of the Ministry, Bature Lami, the Permanent Secretary assured the visiting team of initiatives to create a database of youth-focused organisations.
She added that the priority was understanding the crucial points of possible strategic partnerships to collaborate and advance the well-being of young Nigerians.
