Residents of Minna, the Niger State Capital and its environs have lamented over persistent attacks, stealing, house burgling, phone snatching and robbery among others on going on daily basis unabated.
Reports carried out in Minna revealed that the purported annual insecurity in the state capital is going on simultaneously in all communities and streets of Minna where many had been injured, killed or have their properties stolen without arrest.
It was reliably gathered that shop owners, houses, residents are victims of the current insecurity bedeviling the state capital where the said criminals have catered away cell phones, laptops, ipad, cash worth millions of naira among others.
Reports also revealed that some of the attacks were carried out at midnight and when its raining to ensure smooth operation of bugling houses, indicating the failure on the part of security agents and governments inability to secure the lives and property of the citizens.
Residents in their separate interviews have called on Governor Mohammed Umar Bago and the Commissioner of Police, Ebenezer Shawulu Danmamman to as a matter of urgency take a drastic action against the perpetrators of the crimes and criminality in the city.
When contacted the Niger State Police Command, PPRO, SP Wasiu Abiodun who could not confirm the incident assured to get back if he is able to ascertain details from the DPOs concerned.
