Motorists activities suspended in Gusau for 3 hours as Buhari visits

All movements by motorists in Gusau, the capital of Zamfara State and the operations by motor parks will remain suspended for 3 hours following one day official visit by President Muhammadu Buhari.

Activities are to be shutdown until the departure of the President.

This was contained in a statement by the state Commissioner of Information, Ibrahim Magaji Dosara, saying it is part of the measures taken by the security agencies in the state to ensure hitch free event.

According to the statement, President Buhari will be in the state to commiserate with the State Government, good people of the state and the direct families over the recent killings of 58 people by bandits.

The statement further informed the general public that, “No person is allowed to carry any weapon, including matchets, knifes and sticks, and that people must not be seen carrying any embarrassing banners against the President.

“That wrong parking of vehicles are not allowed, as Federal Road Safety Commission’s operatives are directed to tow away all violating vehicles for prosecution while Gusau town will be closed to motorists for three hours”.
