The wife of Kaduna state Governor Hajia Fatimah Ramallan Yero has called on women in the state to be security conscious and ensure that the security of their home become paramount especially in the face of the security challenges facing the country. She made the call during a security sensitization and training for women held in Kaduna yesterday.

Hajia Fatimah Yero added that a large percentage of women in the country have become insecure due to the security situation the nation found itself and hence the need to reawaken security consciousness in women who are seen as centre of activities both at home and outside.

The Kaduna State first lady said the major question bothering everybody today is what happens to us, how did it happen and where did we go wrong.

“I will tell you that the problem of insecurity started when we stopped believing in God and when we took other people’s beliefs, norms, tradition and cultures as ours and we let the labour of our heroes past in vain,” she said.

Hajia Fatimah Ramalan Yero expressed dismay that parents. families, women and community stopped nurturing their children on the right part and became materialistic.

The guest lecturer, Dr Salma Abbasi of Worldwide Group said the greatest security threat to any country is the people in the country and people should be security conscious and alert especially the women flocks.
