Muslims urged to promote brotherhood

Former Secretary to the Government of the Federation (SGF), Alhaji Mahmud Yayale Ahmad (Ajiyan Katagum) has urged adherents of Islamic faith to always promote brotherhood.
Yayale who made this known at the weekend in Abuja during the inauguration of members of Executive of Abuja Muslim Forum (AMF) tasked member to always strive to solve challenges faced by their Muslim brothers.
Yayale who was represented by Alhaji Mahmud Sanusi of the National Mosque, Abuja while congratulating the newly elected executives to always discuss issues of common interest especially on how best to promote the welfare of members.
Continuing, he asked them to lead their followers with the fear of God and without any bias no matter the interest.
In his goodwill message, the Emir of Keffi, Alhaji (Dr.) Shehu Chindo Yamusa III, represented by Hon Ibrahim Usman (Wambai Keffi) who prayed for God’s wisdom for the exco urged them to promote peace between Muslims and non-Muslims as well.
Former Executive Secretary of Federal Capital Development Authority (FCDA) Engr. Umar Gambo Jubrin who was the first Treasurer of the Forum said the propagation of Islam was a huge task and the need for the exco to brace up to meet the challenges.
Speaking on the topic, “Revitalization of Abuja Muslim Ummah: The task Ahead” Chairman of FCT Council of Imam initiatives, Dr. Tajudden Adigun said the forum had made tremendous progress and asked them to seek for alternative funding for the forum, noting that after spiritual liberation followed financial liberation.
Speaking also, the second guest lecturer, Dr Isah Okonkwo who spoke on “Essentiality of Synergy Among Muslim Ummah in FCT” posited that Muslim unity was a most and asked the executive to unite all members.
Speaking on behalf of the newly executive members, Amir of the forum, Alhaji AbdulRazaq Tunde Ajani promised that leadership will sustain the tempo of the previous administration and synergize for more progress.
