From David Hassan, Gombe

The newly appointed chairman of Gombe state Internal Revenue Service Alhaji Salisu Baba Alkali has said his priority is to boost  revenue generation in order to benefit the public.

Alkali stated this during the handing over ceremony in Gombe on Monday.

He said his coming as substantive chairman will do the needful by putting the service first.

According to him, “my administration will reorganize the board  through efficiency where the public will accept payment of taxes.”

He said he will bring his experiences as the chairman of the board from 2004 to 213 in Gombe before joining the Federal Inland Revenue Service as a regional director in charge of Abuja,  Nassarawa and Kogi states.
