Represented by a Director from his office, Simon Tyungu, the SGF appealed to stakeholders to support the laudable course of N-HYPPADEC in its quest towards transforming and changing the narrative of a young population for economic growth and prosperity.
Akume maintained that the current administration of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu is working hard to remedy the problems facing the nation.
In his remarks Niger state Governor Mohammad Umar Bago, advised the youths not to sell their Starter Packs especially those from agro line to take advantage of local farms to enhance their business while appealing to wealthy individuals in Niger state to support the youths towards transition from redundancy to utility.
The personalities who were honoured at the occasion are; Pst. Dr. Philemon Ahmed as the “Pillar of Christian Mission; Rev. Mrs Rachael Kelvins received the “Doctorate Degree in Ministry” (Horis Causa) and Rev. Dr. Abel Idakwo also received the “Doctorate Degree in Ministry” (Horis Causa).
The president/Rector of the seminary, Prof. Rev. Peters Omeiza Yusuf, who made the disclosure while presenting his welcome address during the 6th Convocation ceremony which took place at Sandaco Hotel Rafinsenyi on Sunday.
According to Rector, “I urge the graduants today and all the recipients of one certificate or the other to mark the event today as a commissioning to go and be an agent of positive change drawing men from darkness to the light of God”.
He said: “Ours in this seminary is to train, encourage and equip the people of God to help rise and shine as light in darkness unto which the world has to run to in search of the true God (Ish 60:1)”.
He then expressed with dismay that something was wrong with the Christianity in this present generation, despite the claims of largest numbers of celebrated ministers of God, largest congregations, cathedrals, massive programmes, wave of prophesy, wonders and miracles in the churches.
Prof. Yusuf, however, advised the graduating students, as well as the Ordinands to always remain committed to the work of God in order to change the lives of the Christians for better.
