The Nigerian Army has prayed for the repose of the souls of the fallen heroes and pledged their unalloyed loyalty to the constitution.
The Chief of Army Staff (COAS) Lieutenant General Taoreed Lagbaja stated this at an interdenominational church service in commemoration of Nigerian Army Day Celebration 2024, held at Saint Michael’s Military Church (Roman Catholic), Shadawanka Barracks, Bauchi.
A statement signed and distributed to newsmen on Monday in Bauchi , by the Acting Assistant Director Army Public Relations lieutenant Atang Hallet Solomon said , General Lagbaja enjoined Nigerian Army (NA) personnel in 33 Artillery Brigade Bauchi to keep praying for the repose of the souls of fallen heroes, who made the supreme sacrifice in the line of duty defending Nigeria.
In a goodwill message delivered at the Church Service by the Commander 33 Artillery Brigade, Brigadier General Emmanuel Egbe, the COAS urged the troops to also remember to pray for the speedy physiological and psychological recovery of personnel who suffered injuries during operations in defence of the Nigerian nation and the citizenry.
