The Nigerian Army has donated educational materials support to Government Day Secondary School Rimi Wintin Dada in Bauchi State.
A statement signed by lieutenant Atang Hallet Solomon, Acting Assistant Director Army Public Relations which was distributed to newsmen in Bauchi said the Army gave the support at a public speaking engagement to the school as part of activities marking Nigerian Army Day Celebration (NADCEL) 2024.
The Commander 33 Artillery Brigade, Brigadier General Emmanuel Egbe represented by the Brigade Education Officer, Maj S. Ibrahim said the donation and public speaking engagement was to commemorate the Nigerian Army’s 161 years of selfless service to the country since its establishment in 1863.
He said that the gestures were part of the Nigerian Army’s Corporate Social Responsibility to communities through Civil-military corporation efforts.
General Egbe explained that the event was organized to enlighten secondary school children about the Nigerian Army and to also influence their perceptions, opinions, attitudes as well as behaviors.
