As controversies continue to trail the plans to redesign the nation’s currency, concerned Northern Forum, has called on president Muhammadu Buhari to sack the Governor of Central Bank of Nigeria, Dr. Godwin Emefiele and his team within 7-days.
CNF made the demand during a press conference held at the Arewa House on Thursday.
They said failure to meet their demand would force the group to stage massive protest across the Northern region and the Federal Capital Territory (FCT).
The Spokesperson of the Forum, Comrade Abdulsalam Mohammed Kazeem, during the Conference in Kaduna said the redesigning of the Naira bills will not improve the lives of people except hardship which the vast majority of their people are already at the receiving end.
He said the prices of food and other daily items use and consumed by their people have increased beyond control and the probability of the increase in CRIME rate is high due to the bad financial policy of the apex bank.
