NANTMP did not change name – President

The National President of the National Association of Nigeria Traditional Medicine Practitioners (NANTMP), Dr. Shaba Maikudi, has said that NANTMP did not change to any other association as was being declared by the factional president of the association, Alhaji Ibrahim Dada Nakowa.
Maikudi who made the disclosure while addressing the traditional Medicine Practitioners during the general meeting held in Gwagwalada, saying that NANTMP remains a credible association for the traditional medicine healers in Nigeria.
According to NANTMP president, we are not aware that NANTMP has changed to Modern Traditional Medicine Practitioners of Nigeria (MTMPN)
He advised the entire members of association to deem it necessary to work towards the progress of the association, saying that NANTMP was established constitutionally.
He maintained that executives as well as the members would continue to respect the laid down rules and regulations guiding the association.
Maikudi, however, expressed dismay the way at which the Federal Ministry of Health especially the Department of Traditional, Complementary and Alternative Medicine was causing confusion among the traditional medicine practitioners in the country.
Meanwhile, the general meeting was attended by Board of Trustees and the executive members of the association across the country.
