Nasarawa biz mogul joins Assembly race, trains over 100 youths in skills

A business mogul, Alhaji Bala Ibrahim-Mulki, who is an aspirant for Keffi East Constituency on the platform of All Progressives Congress (APC) in Nasarawa State, said that he has trained over 100 youths in different skills in the area.
The gesture, which according to him, “is to enable the youths become self-reliant and to contribute their quota to national development”.
Ibrahim-Mulki, who is the chairman, Dan Mulki Global Investment Nigeria Ltd, told newsmen in Keffi yesterday that he joined the state House of Assembly race in order to empower women, youths and the entire people of the constituency with skills to make them self-reliant.
He added that “I trained over 100 youths in different skills such as computer, car wash, among others as some of them are on their own, while some are working in my organization. That is the essence of empowerment”.
Mulki opined that the welfare of the people of the constituency would be his topmost priority, while assuring that he would not fail the people of the constituency if elected.
“As a businessman and a politician, I know how best to better the standard of living of my constituency if elected. I will sponsor bills that have direct bearing on the lives of my people and the state at large.
Ibrahim-Mulki, who is also the chairman, Cars Dealer Association, Keffi branch also debunked speculation in some quarters that he had abandoned his aspiration to represent his constituency come 2019.
“I did not step down for anybody, people should disregard such rumour. I am still in my race and by God’s grace, I will win my primary election, as well as, the general election in 2019 in order to provide the much needed dividend of democracy for my people,” he added.
He called on the people of the area and Nigeria in general to take advantage of the ongoing Permanent Voter Card (PVC) registration to register and collect their cards in order to vote leaders of their choice during the general election.
