Nasarawa Govt, State Assembly move to tackle alarming rate of vulnerable groups in the State.
Nasarawa State Ministry of Women Affairs has said that there was a huge number of vulnerable people in the state that are in need of serious succour.
This and other issues top discussion when the Commissioner of the ministry, Hajiya Aisha Rufai and Chairman of the House Committee on Women Affairs Hajara Danyaro , met Thursday in Lafia during the presetation of the ministry 2023 budget performance.
The commissioner while appreciating the committee for supporting its activities, appealed for increment in the ministry’s budget to rekindle the hope of destitute, especially children.
Rufai pointed out that the number of vulnerable people is proportionally alarming and made a case for budget increments to enable the ministry roll out intervention to the destitute.
“ His Excellency, Governor Abdullahi Sule is doing his best in addressing the plights of the vulnerable groups
“ The House is also giving us it’s maximum support in carrying out our activities.
“ I want to tell you that the number of vulnerable people is proportionally alarming and they are seriously in need of succour,” she said.
