Nasarawa LG boss demands security intervention

The overseer, Lafia North Development Area of Lafia Local Government Council of Nasarawa State, Mohammed Suleiman Agyo has expressed discomfort over the rate at which kidnapping and other criminal activities is on the increase in Shabu Town, the Headquarters of the Development Area and it Environs with a call on the security operatives in the state to take proactive measures towards curtailing the menace.
He made the call yesterday while reacting in an interview with journalists in his office in Shabu Headquarters of the Development area as according to him “The issue of Insecurity is all over the Country but I am appealing to the security agencies in the state to mark out steps in order to fish out the bad elements in the community”.
According to him, “Lafia North Development Area has diverse tribes. We cohabit peacefully despite our diversity. The issue of insecurity is our major concern. I call on the Police, DSS, Civil Defense and other relevant security agencies to embark on proactive measures that will bring to an end the incessant cases of kidnapping and other crimes in the area.
Agyo continued that “when I came on board. We had series of security meetings. I always respond to any issue of criminal activities by informing the authorities concern in the state. I am appealing to the general public to always cooperate with the security agencies in the area in order to rid out the bad eggs.”
