The Nasarawa state police command yesterday paraded a suspected female kidnaper, Sandra Linus (36)for allegedly conspiring with one Mrs. Anna Ndidi and kidnapping a daughter of Ogbonna Njoku, Nnenna, at Agwan , Masaka in Karu local government area of the state.
According to the police, the said daughter was traced at the house of one Helen Austine, who was said to be a sister to the suspected kidnaper, but the kidnapped daughter was found in an unconscious condition because of the sniper substance the suspects which were administered on her.
The PPRO, Ugochukwu, DSP, who told pressmen while parading several suspects at the police Criminal Investigation Department that “the prime suspect, Sandra, after her arrest was interrogated and she confessed to the crime.”
Meanwhile, DSP Ogochukwu said the sister of the prime suspect, Helen Austine, in whose house the kidnapped girl was found, is currently at large.
Also the PPRO paraded 20 persons who were arrested in connection with the ethnic crisis in the state, as well as 20 persons were rescued from the recent crisis.
Oguchukwu also said that 5 suspected armed robbers were arrested by the command just as 11 persons were equally arrested for illegal possession of firearms, ammunitions and criminal charms.
