NASC holds capacity building workshop for trainees, facilitators

The management of the National Agricultural Seeds Council(NASC) in partnership with Emuddy Global Nigeria Limited on Monday kicked – off a three-day capacity building workshop for all trainees as well as facilitators on digital seed certification, electronic authentification and third –party seed certification for seed certification officers
In an interview at the occasion, the Director- General in charge of NASC, Dr Khalid Ishiak, said the purpose of the workshop was to bring everybody on board for the use of electronic means of certification.
He charged the participants of the workshop to deem it necessary to concentrate as well understand what the new tools are all about, while advising them to make good use of the tools effectively.
He said his leadership would continue to organize workshop for the staff of NASC in order to update their knowledge technologically.
Ishiak, however, commended the Federal Government for the necessary support accorded to NASC in terms of finance to enhance productivity.
