The Peoples Democratic Party House of Representatives candidate for Dekina/Bassa Fender Constituency in the 2023 elections, Austin Okai said the story of Natasha Akpoti, transition from activist to politician serves as a beacon of hope and a call to action for us all.

Okai, spoke in a statement made available to newsmen on Saturday noted that Akpoti’s name has become synonymous with advocacy and relentless pursuit of a better Nigeria.

He said As a prominent activist, she has tirelessly championed causes close to the hearts of many Nigerians, most notably the revitalization of the Ajaokuta Steel Company.

According to him,”Her efforts have not just been about raising voices in protest, but about engaging stakeholders, pushing boundaries, and challenging the status quo.

Ex-house of rep candidate explained that Akpoti’s activism was never about seeking the limelight; it was about effecting real, tangible change.
