National Sports Festival: NSC Engages Enugu State Government in Strategic Planning

Abuja – The National Sports Commission (NSC) has initiated a pivotal strategic meeting with the Enugu State Government in preparation for the upcoming National Sports Festival.

The meeting, led by the Director General of the NSC, Bukola Olopade, focused on in-depth discussions regarding the responsibilities and implications of hosting a festival of such magnitude. Key areas of dialogue included the logistical and infrastructural requirements for hosting, the economic and social benefits for the people of Enugu State, and the broader impact of the event on the state’s development.

The NSC emphasized the importance of Enugu State meeting certain baseline requirements to ensure the successful hosting of the festival. These include providing world-class facilities, ensuring smooth logistics, and creating an enabling environment that promotes sportsmanship and unity among participants.

As part of the state’s responsibilities, Enugu is also tasked with preparing a spectacular showcase for the closing ceremony of the current festival in Ogun 2025.
