NCC set to receive comments from stakeholders on regulatory instruments

The Nigerian Communications Commission (NCC) announces that interested industry stakeholders are welcome to make written submissions on the updated draft regulatory instruments and participate in the Public Inquiries scheduled to be held in Abuja.
This announcement was contained in a statement signed by the Director of Public Affairs of the commission, Reuben Muoka, in Abuja.
The commission, in exercise of its functions under the Nigerian Communications Act 2003 (the Act), has published the following draft regulatory instruments on its corporate Website at www.ncc.gov.ng, for stakeholders’ comments.
The statement read :”ConsumerConnect reports that Mr. Muoka, in a recent public notice, listed the new draft regulations to include thfollowing:Telecommunications Networks Interconnection Regulations (as amended), guidelines on Procedure for Granting Approval to Disconnect Telecommunications Operators (as amended), Guidelines on Dispute Resolution (as amended).
“NCC further stated that in accordance with Section 57 of the Act, it has scheduled Public Inquiries in respect of the above-mentioned draft regulatory instruments to be held at 11:00 a.m. on the dates stated in the table below:
“Regulatory Instrument(s) |Date(s) of Public Inquiry, Telecommunications Networks Interconnection Regulations (as amended) | Tuesday, May 21, 2024, at 11:00 a.m.
“Guidelines on Procedure for Granting Approval to Disconnect Telecommunications Operators (as amended) | Wednesday, May 22, 2024, at 11:00 a.m.Guidelines on Dispute Resolution (as amended) Wednesday, May 22, 2024, at 11:00 a.m.
“The Director said that interested stakeholders, by virtue of this notice, “are invited to make written submissions on the subject and participate in the Public Inquiries.”
