NCWS urges govt to invest in women education

The National Council of Women’s Society (NCWS) Kaduna state branch has urged Government at all levels to invest more in education because educating a woman is educating a nation.
The President of the Council in the state, Mrs. Deborah Dan Ishaya made the assertion during the 2020 celebration of International Women Day IWD held in kaduna yesterday.
According to her when women are educated the nation stands to benefit from it.
She however tasked women in kaduna state to improve their knowledge by pursuit the needed education.
Mrs. Deborah Dan Ishaya also sued for Peaceful coexistence in kaduna state, saying there is no development amidst rancor.
She called on the Government to create more jobs opportunities for the youths so that they can be busy, adding that ideal mind is the devil workshop.
“The security challenges bedeviling the country today is because more Youth who are ideal are willing instruments in the hands of the bandits, kidnappers and insurgent.
“Therefore engaging our youth in gainful employment will help in reducing the insecurity”, she said
Speaking on the theme of this year, “I am Generation Equality: Realizing Women;& Girls Right, “the Guest speaker Mrs. Olanike Olugbon said this is the time to celebrate what has happened over the years and reflect on what didn’t happen
She added that most times women do not take responsibility because they feel that it is the man that should be in charge, hence things begin to fall apart.
Similarly the Chief Executive Officer Toes to Heels Initiative,
Amina Lawal advised women not to wait for anybody but believe in themselves in order not to be limited in life.
Amina advised women to take advantage of every opportunity that come their ways.
Princess Leah Solomon condemned the recent crisis in the country which left scores dead and others injured.
According to her, women as mothers and wives who are at the receiving end of the violence because some of them lost their husbands while others lost their children this is dishearten and stand condemnable.
She therefore appealed to the Federal Government to find solutions to the killings.
