NDA alerts Kaduna residents to cadets’ range exercise

The Nigerian Defence Academy (NDA) says it will conduct a range classification exercise for cadets on Aug. 8.

A statement by the Academy Public Relations Officer, Maj. Njoka Irabor, on Friday in Kaduna said that the exercise would take place at the NDA Open Range, Afaka.

He said residents of Mando, Tsamiya, Kauya, Afaka and surrounding areas should beware of the exercise and adhere to safety guidelines.

According to him, the academy has put in place all necessary safety measures to ensure the successful conduct of the exercise.

He advised members of the public to avoid trespassing or moving close to the range area throughout the period of the exercise.

The PRO solicited the support of media organisations and community stakeholders in the dissemination of the information to create public awareness and the safety of all.

Irabor said the Commandant, Maj.-Gen. Oluyemi Olatoye has appreciated the continuous cooperation and understanding of members of the public and urged them not to relent.
