Fifty (50) unemployed youths have been enrolled in to a 5 days intensive post-sustainable Agricultural development training (POST-SADTS) in Adamawa State.
The Director General of the National Directorate of Employment (NDE),Mallam Nuhu Abubakar Fikpo made the disclosure at the opening ceremony of the training held in Yola, Wednesday stressing that, the rationale behind the training was to enhance capacity of the participants in order to encourage self reliance.
Represented by the state Coordinator of the Directorate,Ibrahim Jimada Mohammed at the occasion,Abubakar Fikpo said
the scheme is a specialized training designed to expose the unemployed persons to the practical application of government’s policies on Agricultural with the view to harnessing the tremendous opportunities available in the sector to further create employment and promote high productivity with relatively less difficulties.
Fikpo charged the Fifty (50) beneficiaries from the state to concentrate and notes the take aways in the training for onward implementation in their various fields with a view to create employment for others.
In their separate presentations at the training as resource persons,Muhammad Kabir Aliyu and Dr.Aisha Abdullahi Iliyasu highlighted on government Agricultural Policies, their impact on employment creation and the economic importance of raising livestock and it’s product in nutrition and feeding.
Participants like Nayama-Nda Adamu and Mus-ab Dahiru expressed gratitude to NDE for making possible for them to be part of the training with the promise to make good use of the knowledge impacted on them to be formidable changes in our communities.
The training, which is meant to last for five (5) days, has commenced on Monday the 25th of July, 2023.
