National Directorate of Employment, NDE, Benue State has trained over 50 persons in Quick Fix skills acquisition.

The program which is domiciled under the Vocational Skill Development Department, VSD, had the participants trained for one month in fascinator, bead making, barbing, confectionery and interior decoration.

Speaking at the closing ceremony, the Acting State Coordinator Mr. William Agada explained that the objectives of the program include; to impart vocational skills to the unemployed especially youths and women, enable the trainees acquire marketable skills, to make the beneficiaries of the skills acquisition become employers and self reliant, reduce poverty and hunger and stem youth restiveness and social vices.

He noted that the trainees demonstrated high sense of commitment as it is a stepping stone to attaining greater heights.

Head of Department Vocational Skills Department, VSD, Ene Awosika advised the trainees to make judicious use of the skills acquired to become employers of labour.
