The National Directorate of Employment, NDE has trained over 33,692 unemployed youths, women and Person Living with Diabilities, PLWD in different fields across the nation.

In Benue State, the Directorate trained over 794 unemployed persons including 81 Persons Living with Diabilities and  resettled 322.

Director-General NDE Dr. Silas Agara said the beneficiaries were trained in vocational skills, entrepreneurship and business management, agricultural skills within the Public Works sector in the 36 states and FCT.

Dr. Agara who was represented by the Benue State Director, NDE Mr. Matthew Apochi also said a total number of 5,532 beneficiaries will be resettled with loans and starter packs nationwide to enable them establish their own businesses.

The DG reiterated the commitment of the President through the Renewed Employment Hope Initiative to create employment, promote agricultural productivity, improve rural infrastructure and provide transient jobs which will in turn foster economic growth and empower our communities.
