NECO commissions 5 projects, rewards hard work of staff/students

National Examinations Council (NECO), has commissioned no fewer than 5 projects worth millions of naira amongst other achievements of the present Register and Chief Executive Officer of the Council, Professor Ibrahim Dantani Wushishi.
This was disclosed by the NECO boss at the weekend during the commissioning of the projects in Minna, Niger state capital, saying it showed the financial prudence and commitment to efficient resource management of its Internally Generated Revenue (IGR).
According to him, the projects to include; 70 examination logistics operational vehicles for seamless and timely delivery of exam materials to the centres, building and equipping of drivers pool to ensure professionalism through training and resources for effective and efficient transportation.
Other projects were construction of a classrooms for the senior secondary section of NECO staff school to provide quality and conducive learning environment, as well as the the establishing and equipping of data and scanning centres to safeguard, digitalized, and secure its data management.
Professor Dantani Wushishi revealed that the council in over 15 years didn’t receive any appropriation for capital projects but it is constructing new NECO offices in three states of Gombe, Katsina and Kogi which is at 70% completion.
He applauded president Nola Ahmed Tinubu and the National Assembly for appropriating for capital projects to construct seven additional new offices in Nasarawa, Rivers, Lagos, Sokoto, Taraba, Jigawa, and Abia states respectively.
While commissioning, the Minister of Education, Professor Tahir Mamman represented by the ministry’s Permanent Secretary, Andrew David Adejo applauded NECO management for remaining focused and steadfast in ensuring the realization of the all important projects.
