The North East Development Commission, NEDC, has presented food and non-food items worth millions of naira to Adamawa state government.

Delivery the items in Yola weekend, Managing Director of the Commission, Mohammed Goni Alkali said  the development was part of the cardinal principles of the commission to render assistance and support in area of  need for the six states in the Northeast zone of the country.

Alkali stated that the commission  made pledge to the states in the zone during the humanitarian summit held in Borno in August to bring intervention to states in areas of need.

Alkali noted that with the flood challenge across the globe, his commission after due consultation with critical stakeholders decided to support all the six states  affected by the natural  phenomenon to cushion the effects.
