New Adamawa Gov. Fintiri sworn in, calls on all to contribute for devidend of democracy

The new Adamawa state Governor Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri has urged the people in the state to accord his administration needed support and cooperation for provision of more dividends of democracy.
Governor Fintiri made this appeal in Yola Wednesday at the Governorship swearing in/Inauguration ceremony expressing gratitude to Almighty God and the citizenry in the state for opportunity given to him to serve as elected Governor.
Fintiri stated that,the timely emergence of his government will be a change that will balance policy and politics stressing that the change will eschew might over right and treat all citizens as equals.
“A transformational change that will harness the vast human potentials of the people in to attaining and enjoying the dividends of democracy which have so far eluded them.
“As a government of popular consent I am mindful of the honour and the responsibility this has bestowed on me,I hereby affirm and declare that hope has been restored,and true change has come to Adamawa state.Let us embrace as I solemnly pledge to provide the leadership that is required to make this change work for the good of all”.fintiri reiterated
He promised that his administration will accord security of lives and properties.priority adding that payment of salaries,pension and gratuity on time shall be routine as will be yearly increment and promotions.
In his speech at the occasion,the former Governor Muhammadu Umaru Jibrilla represented his deputy,Hon.Martins Babale said that their government have contributed their quota in developing the state.
Babale therefore advised the new government to continue with their people oriented programmes like rehabilitation of schools ,hospitals and security in the state.
Our correspondent in Yola reports that Governor Fintiri was two times acting Governor of the state and now elected substantive Governor under peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in the 2019 general elections.
