New Code of Conduct Bureau board talks tough on illegalitie

The newly inaugurated board members of the Code of Conduct Bureau, have vowed to prosecute any person who go against the law, saying no one is above the law in Nigeria.
This was contained in a statement signed by the Kaduna State Director of the Bureau, Alhaji Yusuf Muhammed, and made available to newsmen on Wednesday.
Addressing the Bureau’s staff in Kaduna, the member in-charge of the North-West Zone, Barrister Murtala Kankia, maintained that the Bureau would work hard in accordance with the provisions of the constitution and ready to prosecute any person(s) who go against the law as no one is above the law.
Barrister Kankia further urged all public officers to declare their assets honestly, sincerely and in accordance to the law therein as the Bureau of today would not condone any act of abuse of public office.
The newly Board members were on a nationwide tour of the state offices of the Bureau.
The North-West Zone comprises of Kebbi, Katsina, Kaduna, Kano, Sokoto, Zamfara and Jigawa states respectively.
