New NAHCO MD set to position firm as Africa’s No. 1

Managing Director/Chief Executive Officer of the Nigerian Aviation Handling Company (NAHCO) Plc. Mrs. Olatokunbo Adenike Fagbemi is set to position the leading ground handling company to become Africa number one in cargo handling and other associated businesses.
The new target followed her determination to drive newly established structures and subsidiaries of the company into global brands following her appointment as the helmsman of the group.
She said her mission is to “add value to service delivery and shareholders’ investments through closer monitoring of the group’s subsidiaries”
The subsidiaries include NAHCO Free Zone (NFZ), Nahco Energy and Power (EPI) and Mainland Cargo Options Limited (MCO).
The Lagos Business School alumnus according to an electronic statement from the company is a thoroughbred Aviation Management Professional and a management turnaround expert with IATA, ACI and ICAO Certifications.
Nahco plc Cooperate Communication Manager, Mr. Tayo Ajakaye told journalists that Mrs. Fagbemi will bring on board her wealth of experience in championing the agreed strategic transformation plan of NAHCO following a Board and Management Retreat with inputs from KMPG.
She will implement the new strategic plan; operationalise a seamless and harmonised group structure which will transform NAHCO into one of the best companies in the world.”
Ajakaye said the new GMD will focus on improving customer experience, drive stakeholder value, enhance shareholders’ investment in the Company, integrate and closely monitoring of the activities of the subsidiaries to create synergies and better returns on capital.
Fagbemi, would, in the immediate, have the task of repositioning the company, maintaining industrial harmony, energising the staff and improving stakeholder relationships and values, he added.
Also, she is also expected to coordinate and drive the new audacious, bold and challenging initiatives that will establish NAHCO Plc as the leading ground handling company in West and Central Africa in the shortest possible time.
