NFF to host corporate bodies to grand ball

The new Executive Committee of Nigeria Football Federation has taken its bonding with partners and potential partners to a new height on Friday, when it hosted the crème-de-la-crème of Corporate Nigeria to a grand ball at the Eko Hotel & Suites, Victoria Island, Lagos.

NFF President, Amaju Pinnick, said yesterday: “It is a special event, at which we want to sell our new direction to the top-of-the-range family of Corporate Nigeria. We are also going to sell transparency, accountability and probity and tell them that we have come with a totally different way of doing things.

“When corporate organisations know that their money will be put to judicious use, they are keen to partner with you.”

Sports Minister, Dr. Tammy Danagogo, Chairman of the Senate Committee on Sports, Senator Adamu Gumba and the Chairman of House Committee on Sports, Hon. Godfrey Gaiya will team up with the NFF team to make their case to the prospective investors.

The NFF team that will have Mr. Amaju Pinnick at the head will include 1st Vice President, Barr. Seyi Akinwunmi, Chairman of the Marketing, Sponsorship and Television Advisory Committee, High Chief Emeka Inyama, NFF General Secretary, Barr. Musa Amadu, NFF Marketing Consultant, Mr. Mike Itemuagbor and Mr. Adama Idris, NFF’s Director of Marketing.

Already, a big buzz is rocking Corporate Nigeria with a number of top figures confirmed for the big show. Oba Otudeko, Chairman of Honeywell Group and one time Chairman of Association of Shareholders of Nigeria, is among the big names expected.

Also expected at the event being put together by Financial Derivatives, the proposed financial consultants of the NFF, are top officials from Pricewaterhouse, slated to audit the books of the Federation and Ben & Co, who will be the management consultants.
