NGO begins under 15 talents hunt in Niger

A Non Governmental Organization (NGO) identified as International Talent Outreach (ITO) has begun the search for talented youths in the country with over one hundred youths under the ages of 15 years old in attendance.
The National Coordinator of the organization, Muhammad Usman made the disclosure in Minna, saying that the aim is to search for, harness and promote talents in the country.
He stated that many Nigerians are spectacularly talented hence the program was to identify them to give them support by building their skills and empower them from teenage age to be professionals in their various areas of specialization and identify idle and jobless for training.
Usman however applauded the number of persons that Participated in the program that took place at the Federal Resource Centre in Minna, and urged parents to encourage and give maximum support to their wards for social inclusion.
He revealed that this opportunity was created to open ground to showcase their talent while those to be selected will get free human capacity training for self reliance through foreign sponsorship.
He noted that the participants were both females and males who are aged between four to fifteen years old devoid of religious, cultural, regional or tribal sentiments and urged them to shun drugs but to use their time for artistic ingenuity.
A participant, Suleiman Isah aged 14 years hand designer of cloth with left hand amputated from the elbow appealed for assistance to enable him get some equipment to effectively carry out his business with less stress.
A mother of five years girl Fatima Abba who expressed joy for selecting her daughter from her school for the program however urged the NGO to be fair and reach out to communities, schools and relevant bodies so as to get real talented children from the grassroots levels for maximum inputs.
